This week the group completed the quiz from the Cascade project at Exeter, which asks, “What type of digital learner am I?”. The group all found the quiz very accurate, and the majority agreed with the summary statements it produced, which provided them with an individual rating and descriptor for each of 6 categories: Media Mogul, Global Citizen, Information Junkie, Life Planner, Career Builder, Digital Enthusiast, and Digital Skeptic. Importantly it helped them identify where their digital literacy was a help or a hindrance in their learning, and their preparation for employment, and identify areas on which they should focus.
